Choc & Walnut Cookies by Janet Tee Bee Leng


Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 180g (sift together with baking powder)
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Butter - 140g
Caster sugar - 80g
Egg - 1 (room temperature)
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Choc chips - 100g
Walnut - 50g (pre-baked in oven for a few minutes)


Method: 
Preheat oven 180c
1. Beat the butter with sugar until light & fluffy.
2. Add egg & vanilla essence, mix well.
3. Fold in sifted all purpose flour and baking powder by using a spatula. Keep pressing down till the mixture is well combined.
4. Add in choc chips & walnut and mix well.
5. Scoop some batter onto baking tray.
6. Bake for about 30 mins or golden brown. Remember not to over bake else it will be bitter.
7. Set aside to cool.
